Frontier Co-op® Organic Fine Grind White Pepper is ground from the same fully-ripened fruits (berries) that black pepper is from, the difference is that their red outer skin is removed before sun-drying. White pepper has a much more delicate flavor, lending desireable pepper taste without the hot bite. Fine-grind pepper blends more completely into dishes than coarser grinds. Gourmet cooks often prefer white pepper over black to flavor white sauces and other light-colored dishes, as it lends its flavor without being visibly detectable.
